Queen Emma Brandau

The honor of being the 2023 Deschutes County Fair & Rodeo Queen goes toEmma Brandau!

Petite, but mighty we welcome Emma Brandau, as the 2025 Deschutes County Fair & Rodeo Queen.She is the 18 year old daughter of Daniel and Natalie Brandau of Powell Butte, Oregon where she resides with her family and can be found both dependable and responsible for family and livestock chores on their family farm.

Emma graduated this spring from Crook County High School where she actively participated in Navy Junior ROTC, Crook County High School Equestrian Team (OHSET), Oregon High School Rodeo, Madras Saddle and Gaming Club, High Desert Barrel Racing, and 4-H horse and swine projects.

Emma has had many different accomplishments, but her most cherished has been the privilege to represent as the 2023 Jefferson County Fair & Rodeo Queen, the 2024 Wheeler County Fair & Rodeo Queen, and now the 2025 Deschutes County Fair & Rodeo Queen.Her support for the sport of Rodeo, and the western lifestyle is stellar.

Her other athletic achievements are qualifying for the State Fair in Horse 4-H, the State and Pacific Northwest Invitational Championship Regionals for the last four years for the Crook County Oregon High School Equestrian Team, qualifying in numerous individual and team events.In addition to being the Central District OHSET high point team contributor in 2023, as well as the American Paint Horse Association Champion of speed events in 2023, and the Reserve Champion top five all around youth award in 2022.

She has been a well-rounded individual equestrian as well as a valued team member competing in Barrels, Poles, Figure Eight, Key Hole, Bi-wrangle, Canadian Flags, Hand Trail, Showmanship, Reining,Working Pairs, Sorting, and the Hand off School Obstacle Relay Race.Add to this being the first Attendant to the Oregon High School Rodeo Queen. Currently Emma holds a Northwest Pro Rodeo Association permit for Barrel Racing.In addition to these accomplishments she has a long list of other scholastic volunteer allocates. She served on The Link Crew Upper Classmen Welcome Team to welcome new comers to her school.This spring she even participated on the track team, as well as peer tutoring with young children.

Emma has always been a “Kid Magnet.”She loves kids and they seem to equally share that love back to her.This year she had the opportunity to take part in the Peer tutoring program, acting as a peer tutor with both second and third grade students.She looks forward to interacting with young children and has been accepted to attend the University of Idaho this fall to work toward obtaining her degree in Elementary Education.

Emma is well equipped to grow from challenges with which she is presented.She has the strong determination, patience and integrity to pursue her dreams.
